Abstract
A 2-yr. study of the caries incidence in 361 teeth of 21 children aged 2-13 yrs. disclosed a consistent aggregate increase of 58% in rate during the yr. after suspension of topical applications of a 1:1000 F (NaF) soln. received periodically for 1 yr. The results suggest possible restriction of the caries-inhibiting influence of topically applied fluorine in the absence of continued periodic adran. Keywords
