Abstract
The Feynman description of the polaron is used to write down a polaron Boltzmann equation. This equation is then used to discuss the drift mobility problem. In the limit of low temperatures, the Boltzmann equation is rearranged to exhibit elastic resonance scattering and it is solved exactly. The evaluation of the drift mobility thus obtained is compared with the results of other calculations. Other applications of the polaron Boltzmann equation are briefly discussed. Keywords
