Abstract
We have made detailed fits to new data on the reaction at 12 using the generalized Veneziano model with several different sets of assumptions. We find that the quality of the fits depends to a large degree on the choice of kinematic factors, and we also find that a good fit can be obtained only by using five adjustable parameters, multiple trajectories, and several kinematic factors.
