Effective cross sections for the (n, 2pn), (n, 2p), and (n, 3pn) reactions using intermediate-energy neutrons

Abstract
"Effective cross sections" for the (n, 2pn), (n, 2p), and (n, 3pn) reactions on various targets were measured relative to the C12(n, 2n)C11 reaction. The bombarding particles were the spectrum of neutrons generated in a Cu beamstop by 750-MeV protons. The cross section systematics as a function of target mass number are compared with available 14-MeV neutron cross sections for (n, He3) and (n, 2p) reactions and with results from intranuclear-cascade calculations.
