LIGATION OF THE TAIL OF THE PANCREAS IN JUVENILE DIABETES*

Abstract
Two diabetic boys (13 and 16 yrs.) were operated on. In case 1 the pancreatic tail was divided with a high frequency cautery. In case 2 ligation was applied to the duct. Both cases showed markedly increased sugar tolerance, the max. appearing about the 4th month. A gradual decrease in tolerance followed.This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
