Abstract
INFESTATION by Schistosoma mansoni is generally known to cause gastrointestinal symptoms and, not infrequently, bilharzial hepatic fibrosis, which may lead to portal hypertension of intrahepatic origin. Other authors1 2 3 have reported and described the less frequently encountered pulmonary manifestations of bilharziasis and have classified the different types that might be identified.It is the purpose of this communication to present 2 cases of pulmonary bilharziasis with widely different clinical manifestations.Case ReportsCase 1.
