Abstract
A dual-type cell was designed for measuring the velocity and attenuation of sound in highly dissipative materials such as ceramics. Using this new cell, longitudinal and shear wave velocities of ceramic barium titanate, BaTiO3, were precisely measured in the temperature range between room temperature and 200°C, including the Curie temperature.Keywords
