Abstract
An algorithm is presented for the systematic design of full-rank output-feedback compensators which allow arbitrary pole assignment in the resulting closed-loop system. The desired compensator of least degree is constructed from a minimal sequence of dyads. The underlying theory provides a unification of previous results. Keywords
