Abstract
The influence of ascorbic acid and the gonadotrophic hormone of pregnant mare''s serum alone and in combination was studied in 344 3 White Leghorn chicks. The inj. of ascorbic acid alone had no influence on testis wt. The inj. of equine gonadotrophin alone induced highly significant increases in gonad wt. but the simultaneous inj. of ascorbic acid failed to augment the gonadotrophic hormone. There was no apparent relationship between blood plasma ascorbic acid and testis wt.This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
