Competition between Neutron and Gamma Emission from Nuclear States with High Spin

Abstract
The effect of the high spin of the compound nuclei on the ratio of the gamma width to the neutron width is studied. It is shown that this ratio increases with the increase of the spin of the compound nucleus. This is attributed to both model-independent and model-dependent factors.Keywords
