Abstract
An overview of reflectometry measurements of density profiles and density fluctuations in fusion devices, is presented. The results are analysed in the light of the expectations from recent theoretical and numerical studies. The spatial resolution of the diagnostic and the wave number sensitivity are discussed. The diagnostic capabilities are considered in view of its application in next generation devices. Keywords
