Abstract
RNAs linked to the chemical nuclease 1,10-phenanthroline-copper cut double-stranded DNA of complementary sequence. This cleavage reaction is applicable to all sequences and can be used to measure the distance between marker genes in base pairs, map the size of a transcription unit and define positions of chromosomal breakpoints. Keywords
