Abstract
In 220 cases of myocardial infarction proved by necropsy or serial ecg 10 (4.5 %) had painless infarcts. In this series, discomfort was considered as pain, The most common symptom in painless myocardial infarction was dyspnea. Mechanisms for the absence of pain are reviewed.Keywords
