Abstract
Post-treatment effects of corticotropin and of cortisone upon exptl. tuberculosis in guinea pigs were studied. The guinea pigs were autopsied 68 days after cessation of treatment. 3 doses of corticotropin and cortisone, varying from minute to massive amounts, had no significant effect on the course of tuberculosis in guinea pigs. No adverse effects were found of corticotropin and cortisone on exptl. tuberculosis in guinea pigs, as reported by others. Depression of dermal sensitivity to old tuberculin occurred during treatment in animals receiving either 10 mg. corticotropin or 20 mg. cortisone. Keywords
