Abstract
The temperature dependence of the Faraday rotation (FR) spectra is measured at temperatures between 60 and 300 K in the wavelength range of 0.7–1.6 μm for single crystalline films grown by a liquid phase epitaxy method onto (111)-oriented gadolinium gallium garnet substrates. In addition, the FR spectra at some temperatures are calculated by a molecular field approximation, and the calculated spectra are reproduced well by assuming the molecular field where is a thermal average of an iron spin in magnetic garnets.
