Long-haul 16×10 WDM transmission experiment using higher order fiber dispersion management technique

Abstract

We propose a dispersion management schemes for long-haul WDM systems that considers not only second but also third order dispersion using fibers with opposite dispersion signs. This technique achieves WDM transmission for a total capacity of 160 Gb/s over 8303 km.
