Abstract
The specific heat of (La0.925Sr0.075)2CuO4 was measured over the temperature range 14.5-87 K. A clear specific heat jump ΔC was observed at the critical temperature around 38 K. Subtraction of the lattice specific heat estimated by curve fitting yielded the electronic specific heat coefficient approximately 11 mJ/(mol·K2) according to the BCS relation. Comparison of this result with those of the other high T c oxide superconductors seems to raise a difficulty in explaining the results simply by the ordinary BCS mechanism. Keywords
