An Electromyographic Study of the Atrophied First Dorsal Interosseus Muscle in Rheumatic Arthritis

Abstract
Summary In 15 cases of atrophy of the first interosseus muscle in rheumatic arthritis action potentials have been led from this muscle and analysed with regard to the duration. It was then found that in 2 cases the mean duration was statistically significantly less than normal. In these cases there is considered to be a myopathic change in the atrophied muscles.
