Abstract
The cross sections for inelastic electron scattering from have been measured over a wide kinematic range covering momentum transfers q from approximately 250 to 600 MeV/c. To make longitudinal transverse separations of the response functions, both forward angle (60°) and backward angle (134.5°) data were obtained. The observations are in excellent agreement with calculations of Arenhövel and Leidemann and in slightly less good agreement with the calculations of Laget throughout the quasielastic peak and the ‘‘dip’’ regions.
