Reaction to Tetanus Toxoid

Abstract
TETANUS toxoid has been of inestimable value in the prophylaxis of tetanus infection. Active immunization is generally regarded as effective and safe, with few or no side effects. Because of the rarity of delayed reaction to tetanus toxoid1 , 2 the following case is presented.Case ReportOn June 5, 1962, P.H. and D.E. both received a booster injection of 1 ml. of tetanus toxoid¶ subcutaneously in the deltoid region of the right arm for palmar lacerations sustained during handling of an animal cage.
