Abstract
The intraven. inj. of concentrated "lyophile" serum into normal, unanaesthetized dogs produces an increase in plasma vol. by drawing fluid from the extra vascular reservoirs. Inj. of normal serum increases the plasma volume without increase in serum protein conc. Glucose and NaCl solns. produce a rise in plasma vol. with dilution of the serum proteins and hematocrits but the dilution is not maintained. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
