Abstract
The ion speed distribution previously considered by Woo, Wong and Hong (see J. Chem. Phys., vol.55, p.3531 (1971) and J. Chem. Phys., vol.57, p.2593 (1972)) is modified to agree substantially with the Monte Carlo calculations of Skullerud (see ibid., vol.6, p.728 (1973)). Application to the interpretation of ion-molecule reaction cross sections is discussed. Keywords
