Abstract
Energy levels of U239 up to an excitation energy of 1.6 MeV have been studied with the U238(d,p)U239 reaction at a bombarding energy of 12 MeV. Angular distributions 75°θL<150° provided information on the l values transferred. Level assignments based on the (d,p)-data are suggested which partially corroborate recent studies of U239 with neutron-capture γ rays.
