Evidence for a cluster of collectivestates innear 3 MeV

Abstract
Compton polarimeters have been used to measure the linear polarization of resonantly scattered photons. In the deformed nucleus the first direct and model-independent evidence has been obtained that in a cluster of enhanced dipole excitations near 3 MeV the three strongest transitions are of the same, positive parity.
