Abstract
The early gastric cancer is a morphologically defined entity, the clinical significance of which lies in the favourable prognosis. The histologic main types of the gastric cancer and the well known combined forms have been observed in the early phase too. The relatively small series of cases which were discussed cover 9 adenocarcinomas of intestinal type, 2 adenocarcinomas originating from polyps, 12 signet ring cell carcinomas, 2 mixed intestinal-mucocellular tumours and only one anaplastic carcinoma. Keywords
