Abstract
Fermentation of 9β,10α‐progesterone with Sporormia pollaccii yielded mainly 9β,10α‐testosterone.Fermentation with Helicosporium lumbricopsis afforded 9β,10α‐androst‐4‐ene‐3,17‐dione.Fermentation with Colletotrichum gloeosporioides afforded 15α‐hydroxy‐9β,10α‐progesterone. This product was converted with Helicosporium lumbricopsis to 15α‐hydroxy‐9β,10α‐androst‐4‐ene‐3,17‐dione. Fermentation of 6‐dehydro‐9β,10α‐progesterone with Mastigosporium heterosporum afforded 9β,10α‐androsta‐4,6‐diene‐3,17‐dione.Keywords
