Abstract
To measure the eye diagram of a high bit rate optical signal, the authors have generated a sampling pulse by gain switching, and have reduced the timing jitter by using CW light injection. The system jitter was 0.7 ps, and the signal-to-noise ratio was 20 dB at a signal peak power of 2.3 mW.Keywords
