Electronic structure of uranium selenide: Experiment and theory

Abstract
The spin polarization of the photoelectrons emitted from ferromagnetic USe has been measured for light energies 3.5<hν<11 eV. Over this whole range the majority of the photoelectrons has the spin magnetic moment directed opposite to the bulk magnetization. An energy scheme of USe is presented which is in agreement with the spin polarization results and measurements of the photoelectron energy distribution.
