Abstract
A group of diabetes lnsipidus (D.I.) rats and a control group of normal rats were anesthetized with 12% ethanol (5% of body weight) and injected with varying doses of arginine-vasopressin (AVP, bovine origin). Urine flow was monitored by means of an electric drop counter. D.I. rats demonstrated increasingly greater sensitivity to 10 [mu]V (p< 0.2) and to 25 [mu]U vasopressin (p p< 0.05) than did normal rats. No difference in sensitivity was noticeable between the 2 groups of rats for AVP doses of 2. 5 and 5 [mu]U.This publication has 6 references indexed in Scilit:
