Abstract
A battery of eight clerical tasks, a typing test, and two questionnaires were given to 34 secretaries in 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. sessions. Afternoon performance was found to be superior in speed of information extraction, and in accuracy of proofreading and complex date sorting. Intertask differences appeared to outweigh interpersonal ones. Keywords
