Abstract
The red line of the helium–neon laser is pumped by the excitation transfer from a metastable He atom to ground‐state Ne atoms, He(2 1S)+Ne→He+Ne(3s). This process is studied in a crossed molecular beam apparatus. (AIP).Keywords
