Abstract
A patient with idiopathic hypoparathyroidism presenting with spells of paroxysmal choreoathetosis was described. The possible mechanisms by which hypoparathyroidism induced choreoathetosis and other extrapyramidal motor dysfunctions were discussed. The need for screening patients with extrapyramidal disease for hypoparathyroidism was stressed. This publication has 18 references indexed in Scilit:
