Abstract
With a normally distended pelvis, there is a distinct and definite obstruction to the free outflow of venous blood from the kidney to the renal vein. This obstruction is reflected directly on the suprapy-ramidal plexus, leading to a definite renal compression. The relation of this block to pyelovenous backflow is demonstrated and the possible bearing in hydronephro-sis and hematuria pointed out. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
