Abstract
The nuclear spin-lattice relaxation rate in an antiferromagnetic insulator at low temperature is calculated to lowest order in . The effects of anisotropy are included but correctly vanish for spin ½. Instead of a divergence in the limit of zero anisotropy as found by Beeman and Pincus, we obtain results similar to those for a ferromagnet.
