Abstract
We examine and compare the morphology of small molecule liquid crystals, thermotropic main chain, liquid crystal polymers and flexible chain polymer melts. We also compare the rheological behaviour of these fluids and attempt to relate the structural characteristics of the fluid with their observed rheology. Keywords
