Abstract
An exact Boltzmann equation method for analysing the electron swarm motion parallel and perpendicular to the electric field is proposed and a solution for the distribution function given. Preliminary numerical results for argon are presented. The transverse diffusion coefficient and the continuity equation are discussed. Keywords
