Abstract
Dithiocarbamates were found to enhance the production of citric acid under solidstate fermentation conditions byAspergillus niger. Maximum increase was observed with tetramethylthiuram disulfide (TMTD). Percent increases observed were 74.2% with 2.5 ⧎g/mL of TMTD, 19.6 % with 2.5 ⧎g/mL of sodium dimethyldithiocarbamate and 33.1 % with 0.6 ⧎g/mL of zinc dimethyldithiocarbamate. Keywords
