Abstract
Parkinsonism is usually described as a chronic progressive disorder in which static periods may occur. Attention should be paid to the little-recognized fact that exacerbations are not uncommon and may adversely influence the progress of the disease. The varied situations in which antiparkinsonism drugs are withdrawn and the hazards of such elimination are emphasized. Keywords
