Abstract
Cell-free extracts of Bact. coli [Escherichia coli] do not contain carboxylase, but oxidize pyruvic acid to acetic acid and CO2, the pyruvic dehydrogenase system comprises:[long dash]a protein or proteins; inorganic phosphate; cocarboxylase; and a metal, possibly Mn or Mg. Flavine adenine dinucleotide may be a component of the system. This publication has 7 references indexed in Scilit:
