Abstract
In an electron microscopic study of brain biopsy material from a case with Creutzfeldt‐Jakob disease intranuclear vacuoles containing membrano‐vesicular structures were found. To our knowledge this finding has not been previously reported in human spongiform encephalopathies. It may represent a specific alteration associated with Creutzfeldt‐Jakob disease, and suggests the possibility of nuclear infection. This publication has 16 references indexed in Scilit:
