Abstract
Methylmercury labeled with 203Hg was used for investigation of uptake and release of methylmercury in fish. Methylmercury compounds adsorbed on food remained completely in fish and were released with the biological half-time of 110 .+-. 20 days. Cumulation of methylmercury from water was rapid. Cumulation constant was 237 .+-. 67/day. Equations for calculation of methylmercury concentration in fish were derived and compared with the uptake of phenylmercury and inoganic Hg.This publication has 7 references indexed in Scilit:
