Abstract
The natural product 4-(4-methoxyphenethyl)-cyclohex-2-en-1-one (1) isolated from the liverwort Plagiochila longispina was synthesised in four steps using a zeolite β induced 1,4-rearrangement of an allylic PMBO-ether as a key reaction. Keywords
