A Clinical Evaluation of Diethanolamine Salt of p-Tolyl- Methylcarbinol Camphoric Acid (Gallogen) in Arteriosclerosis Obliterans

Abstract
A clinical evaluation of Gallogen (diethanolamine salt of p-tolyl-methylcarbinol camphoric acid) was undertaken on 75 patients with arteriosclerosis obliterans. The study was organized on a double blind basis. No significant therapeutic differences were noted between the results obtained with Gallogen and those obtained with the placebo. Under the conditions described, Gallogen appears to have no value in the treatment of arteriosclerosis obliterans in diabetic as well as in nondiabetic patients.
