Abstract
A single dose of 2 g of tinidazole was preoperatively given to 51 patients who underwent vaginal surgery; 60 patients served as controls. The overall infection rate of the operation site was 5.9% (3/51) in the tinidazole group and 25.0% (15/60) in the control group. The difference was significant. Keywords
