Abstract
The differential K X-ray production probability in 420 keV Na+-Ne collisions as obtained from a coincidence experiment is compared with the results of a Ne+-Ne experiment. A possible mechanism for the observed K-shell excitation in Na+-Ne collisions is suggested. Keywords
