Abstract
Capacity ratio (k) data of organophosphorus pesticides (OPs) have been determined on a Bakerbond octadecyl silica column using methanol‐water mixtures as eluents. From the linear plots of log k versus the methanol fraction (ϕ) of the eluent, log k0 values (at ϕ = 0) have been calculated. The log‐log regression between P (i.e., the octanol/water partition coefficient) and k0 values for OPs is evaluated. A simple and accurate solid‐phase extraction (SPE) method for OPs from water is proposed.
