Abstract
A commercially available DNA strip assay was evaluated for the ability to differentiate Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex species. M . bovis subsp. bovis , M . bovis subsp. caprae , M . bovis BCG, M . africanum subtype I, and M . microti were unequivocally identified. M . tuberculosis , M . canetti , and M . africanum subtype II showed a unique hybridization pattern. Keywords
