Abstract
Eigenenergies are calculated for the potential V(r)=-(a/r)[1+(1+br)] by the shifted 1/N expansion method and the results are compared with those obtained by Sever and Tezcan for the same potential by the 1/N method. The shifted 1/N expansion results show a large improvement over the 1/N expansion results.
