Abstract
The crystallographic and magnetic properties of the series of R2Fe17CN x , where R=Y, Sm, Gd, Tb, Dy, and Er have been investigated in comparison with those of R2Fe17C and R2Fe17N3−δ. The results indicate that Sm2Fe17CN x , which possesses a higher Curie temperature, a larger saturation magnetization, and a stronger anisotropy field than Sm2Fe17C or Sm2Fe17N x , seems to be a more favorable candidate for permanent magnet applications. This publication has 7 references indexed in Scilit:
