Abstract
The behavior of neutrons within an absorbing rod is determined through an orders of scattering analysis. Application of the results to practical problems of reactor analysis is presented to illustrate the method’s utility. Several comparisons between calculated and experimental quantities are included to check the theory’s veracity. Finally, tables of calculated results are presented which allow the reader to apply the techniques of this paper to his own problems. Keywords
